I(Elyssa) asked horror author Joe Hill, who was signing copies of his book NOS4A2 in front of a caricature of his father, Stephen King, to write a note explaining to my creative writing teacher, Portland writer Lidia Yuknavitch, why my workshop assignment was going to be late. Above is what he wrote, on the actual assignment because it was the only paper I had.

We got his book signed for our mom, who is a big fan He is a really cool guy who appreciates his fans

On Saturday, we saw the Kpop group BIGBANG in California with our friend Arielle(surfingthecrowd.com) It was pretty fucking amazing! I can’t wait for them to come back to the West coast so I can see them again. Elyssa and I bought floor tickets at the door and got second row because we are too stupid to follow direction. Then, some of the VIP(what BIGBANG fans are called) tried to get us kicked out because… actually, I’m still not sure why, but I think they felt really entitled to those spots for some reason and tried to pull us out by our clothes. It got really creepy and annoying.

ANYWAY, the show was awesome, they put on a great performance, and we had a wonderful time. My favorite part was when Daesung sang Wings and put on the Victoria’s Secret wings and flew over the crowd. There was tear-fanning on our behalf, no shame. He is my absolute favorite! I try not to pick favorites, but he makes it so hard :’(

This post could go on for days but I’ll stop and fangirl in private.

I should have posted this a million days ago, but I went to Disneyland instead.

Videos coming soon.

The What A Babe Stories: In 2011, Elyssa and I saw Cody Simpson and Greyson Chance at the Roseland in Portland. It was really weird because we were the only adults there that weren’t parents. The people who worked on the tour even made fun of us for it! We waited outside the back of the venue so we could get pictures of them because shut up. The little girls around us kept screaming because they’re little girls and little girls don’t know any better, I guess. Finally, some older people showed up in the form of our then-15-year-old friend. All of the little girls eventually went away, so we finally got to take our picture of Greyson, who is supper sweet and adorable, even though children usually scare me. We waited around for Cody until the show started before giving up and going inside. Low and behold, there was young Mr. Simpson, serving ice cream at the food counter. I snapped a quick picture of him and went upstairs to watch the show. Yes, we were adult bitches who took front spots from children. We even sang along proudly. Proud, proud moment. Later, when he had a signing, Cody was super excited about the picture, which he didn’t even notice I took. And all the little girls were jealous. THE END.

madordie:

Ohhhh my gosh. I got to go to a ViViD handshake event today in Osaka(it’s a big deal for me because I’m American and I’m in Seta on a study abroad program with my community college) I spoke to them in Japanese but they tried to speak English. I was so happy. It was so cute :’D
When they came out and I saw them, I seriously got all teary eyed, because this is my first time in Japan and the first handshake event I have ever been to and I love ViViD :] But a lot of the girls around me were all crying, too, and we were making sure we didn’t look too awful. I wish I had brought a gift for them from Oregon but I didn’t think I would be able to go to the event until the other day.
Some of the girls in the line were like “You’re so cute!” and “You’re Japanese is so cute!” because our friend Akane was making sure the things we wanted to say were right.
Ryouga and IV both said we had beautiful eyes, but I get that a lot from Asian people…
Shin said “Konnichiwa.” and I said “Americajin desu.” and he said “GOOD EVENING!”
I told Reno I was American and said a few things in Japanese to him and he said “You’re so cute!” and he said “You too!” I pretty much fan girl’d inside my heart. Also I just want to say, to anyone who says Reno is not cute anymore or fat, he is totally beautiful in person. He is so cute it’s ridiculous.
Akane told Reno that we were American and we love them and he told her we were really cute.
I told them all that I love their music.
And then I legit cried and my male friends made fun of me The End.
By the way, I did speak to them in JAPANESE and not English, they just spoke English back because I said I was American. I’m not one of those white people who speaks English to Japanese people thinking they know English. Just so no one thinks I’m retarded.
I seriously made me feel so loved when they spoke to me in English. It made me feel like they actually care about their English speaking fans. We said to them “アメリカに来ってください!” and they said “行きましょう!”

TheWhatBabe.com Stories: A lot of Jonny Craig stuff has been happening lately, so I thought I’d tell a story about Jonny Craig actually being GOOD instead of a story of him being an asshole druggie douche fuck, which by the way, I have some of those stories, too. It all happened at Bamboozle Left 2010, back when I was actually a fan. See that sweet ass picture of Jonny up there all by himself looking good? Well, I was actually really scared to go up and ask him for that. Luckily, I was with a very brave friend of mine, and she walked right up to him all daring and shit and got him to sign something for me and took a picture with him, then went BACK to him like 30 seconds later for me to take that Polaroid. He didn’t even say anything rude or drunk, he just thought it was weird that I wanted a picture of just him and then struck that legit as fuck pose and looked like a fucking movie star. Several hours later, he played a solo set, which we were in front for. Right before he went on, he took a piss on a tree right next to the stage in view of the audience. Not even kidding. His set was actually beautiful. His voice sounded incredible. During “Children of Divorce”, a light gust of wind picked up a swept the tree branches gracefully in the night air. During his encore, Vic from Pierce the Veil came out and played “She makes dirty words sound pretty” and it was really great. A performance I will always remember as truly amazing. I saw him a few days later in Portland and he was so drunk that he came on stage just to tell us he wasn’t coming on yet, it took him like an hour to play 4 songs, and pissed everyone off. -Caitie
