This week is all about the boy bands!! I’ve been listening non-stop to One Direction. They were 3rd place on 2010 X Factor in the UK. I can’t even handle how adorable they are. They are all amazing singers, and really love what they’re doing! I’m planning a trip to see them. I hope it works out. I’ll be flying to Tennessee to see them with my best friend, Jenn. Honestly, they are great singers. My favorite is Harry Styles. I think my favorite songs are “I Want” and “Tell Me A Lie”. And of course “What Makes You Beautiful”. I just can’t get enough of them.
Honestly, I thought this week it was going to be a really depressing entry from me, because Friday was my best friend Tiffany’s birthday. She passed away almost 9 years ago. She would be turning 25. I was planning on listening to Good Charlotte and Simple Plan and crying my eyes out for days. I think music has everything to do with it. I ended up listening to One Direction and only crying a little bit… Mostly dancing around my house remembering how Tiff and I used to dance around to *NSync. It ended up being a pretty good day. =] -Kim
This week I spent mostly listening to pop music. More specifically, I spent the week listening to One Direction and Block B. Block B, a Kpop band, really makes me wish that boy bands weren’t so scarce in America. Seriously, Koreans, I am so jealous of all your boy bands. Kpop makes me happy. Kpop should make everyone happy.

Are you happy, now? Listen to that catchy tune. Look at those adorable boys dancing. See that gross gooey puddle on the ground? That is my heart. It has melted.
So, some bands are really hard to trace back where I first heard of them, and even though I heard of Block B very recently, I can’t exactly pinpoint when or how I came across them. I think it had something to do with their leader, Zico. All that aside, I’m willing to admit, I liked them immediately, but refused to admit it to myself. I kept sneaking back to watch the videos, and then I was finally like, “ahh fuck it,” and obtained their mini album. If you like Kpop, boy bands, or catchy pop music, I would recommend them. If you don’t speak Korean, please don’t let that stop you from giving them a listen. It didn’t stop me. –Elyssa
